Math and Language Arts Tutor (GR K to 6th)


Tulsi Devi Dasi (Kacie Breault)

Tulsi grew up in a small mill town in Massachusetts.

With a passion and interest in alternative lifestyles, sustainability, and agriculture, she attended Sterling College in Vermont. In 2007, she received a B.A. in Sustainable Agriculture with a focus on Agriculture Education.

After many years of working on farms and in child care, she enrolled at Antioch University in New Hampshire. In 2015, she received a Master's in Education and a Waldorf Teaching Certificate. She then joined Maine Coast Waldorf School in developing and teaching an Agricultural Arts program for grades 1 to 8 until 2017. She developed a curriculum connecting math, science, language arts, and practical life skills to permaculture and growing a garden.

She spent six months traveling to Southeast Asia, working on various permaculture projects. Then she landed on Maui in 2018, working at Haiku Elementary School as the Garden Coordinator. She spent the spring semester of 2021 as the first-grade lead teacher for a Waldorf-inspired homeschool group. She is practicing Bhakti Yoga, strengthening her faith and devotion.
